Other places to follow the wolfies

Follow the adventures of my wolfhound crosses, who were all saved from the Pound. They spend their days sunning themselves, playing chasies and getting lots of love and cuddles on a 100 acre property in country NSW.

Meet Larry and Ginger

Meet Larry and Ginger
Ginger came to us after we drove 5 hours to Tumburumba, in inland country NSW. She had been saved from Wagga Wagga pound by a rescue group and was busy helping inmates rehabilitate at a correctional facility before we came along and took her home. She's a smoochy 2 year old who is the newest addition to our pack and has a soft spot for belly rubs.

Larry was a death row dog in a country pound that got saved by a rescue group. He was underweight, timid and shy. He was transported down to a loving foster family in Canberra, who helped him blossom into a healthy smoochy confident dog. He has joined our pack and keeps Ginger on her toes playing chasies before coming inside and worming his way into any potential cuddles on offer.

Fred and Elsie

Fred and Elsie
Fred (2007-2016) was found wandering the Mulgoa countryside by a ranger who took him to Hawkesbury Pound in 2007. With no microchip, and no one to claim him, he sat there for a week and was on death row, until wolfieboy found him listed online. We drove 2 hours to pick him up. He was a 6 month old puppy with big puppy feet and a head that he needed to grow into. He's been the light of my life and my Heart Dog. Fred passed away in July 2016 after his spleen burst. The vet tells us he must have had a cancerous growth that we were unaware of, until it was too late. I miss Fred with an ache that I cannot explain, and wish I could still bury my face in his big boofy tummy.

Elsie (2010-2015) came from Queanbeyan Pound after being left in their overnight cages one September night in 2010. She was flea-bitten, stunk to high heaven and was skinny as a rake. She was a princess of the highest order, and I still remember the time she refused point blank to walk any further and simply lay down on the ground, looking at me with her big brown eyes. Such a drama queen. She was wonderful with wolfiepup and they spent many an afternoon sitting outside, watching the world go by. Elsie passed away in April 2015 suddenly at the young age of 5 to lymphosarcoma. I miss her every day.

Fred and Elsie now spend their days high on the hill looking out to the view that Elsie was always enamoured with, and we visit often.
